When you are pregnant you often get the same questions from just about everyone you come in contact with. When's your due date? How far along are you? Do you know what you are having? This question is always followed by, do you have a name picked out?
The answer for us is always no. Steve and I rarely agree on names. Most names I like, he doesn't and most names he likes, I don't. When we were pregnant with Jared we talked about names ALL the time. We looked through books, online, through family history, to try and find some good ones for our list. Our list ended up being two lists, my list and his. When Jared was born he didn't look like any of the names either of us picked. Jared wasn't on any of our lists, only briefly mentioned once in passing. It fit though. He just looked like a Jared!
With baby boy number two, it's pretty much the same situation, so far. The exception is that we both have one name that we agree on, but I don't LOVE. So here are our lists thus far:
Husband's List
* Ammon
* Brodie
*Remmey/Remy {not sure how we'd spell it}
* Atticus
Brodie seems to be the name we both agree on, and I like it pretty well. It's grown on me quite a bit since being pregnant with Jared {Ammon and Brodie were both on the husband's list}. Remy is a new one as well as Atticus. I partially like Remmey {testing out spelling} but I don't know if I'm sold on it or if I see us having a boy named that. The other two, I'm really not a fan of.
My List
*Owen
{favorite name this time around}
* Beckett
{Beck for short}
*Oliver
{suggested by a friend, which I like. I'm not sure if we can pull it off though. I like the idea of calling him Ollie.}
*Grant
{Maybe? I think I like Brodie more than Grant, but I am keeping it on the list, just in case.}
So there it is, our lists. It will be fun to meet sweet baby boy and learn what name fits him. Can't wait! I wish I could fast forward this month so that we are that much closer!
