Gratitudes

I know when I start feeling overwhelmed by things that aren't very important, it's time to start listing my blessings again. This is something I really want to be better at. I started doing it regularly a while ago and it really helped me be more positive and happy. It's easy to get lost in everyday life and become stressed. So the past few days I've been trying to think of things that I am grateful for and bring joy to my life. You know what makes me most happy?

These two boys

Boy number one isn't so much a boy, at least most of the time, but a wonderful father and husband.
I love watching him play with Jared. They have so much fun together, no matter what they are playing.
He is so funny and always knows how to make me smile.
I'm grateful that he is so sweet to me, especially while pregnant. He always makes sure to let me know he thinks I'm beautiful, even if we all know I'm blowing up like a balloon. There is never a shortage of thank you's for carrying our baby, for taking care of our sweet boy, for cleaning {even when there isn't a whole lot of it being done.}. I love this man and am grateful to have him in my life.

Boy number two is the sweetest little boy I could ever ask for. I am so overwhelmed with joy to be blessed with such a wonderful little man.
I am so grateful for his sweet snuggles. This boy loves to snuggle, and boy do I love that!
I love when he tells me he has a secret and whispers in my ears the theme song to batman.
He always tells me how much he loves my hair. Since he was a baby, he has loved to run his fingers and hands through my hair, whether we are snuggling or I am just holding him or bending down to talk to him. Lately he has been letting me know that he doesn't approve of me having my hair up. It ruins everything! I love that. I love his big puckered lips whenever he's ready for a kiss. I love that he is getting more and more brave. This boy is a good helper and loves to make mommy happy.
I love that wart hogs are called horn hogs. I love that he makes up sweet little songs and often sings while playing. This little man is such a blessing.

I am extremely grateful for sweet little boy number three. I am grateful to be able to conceive again and have his beautiful spirit inside me. I can't wait to meet this little boy and get to know all about him.

I am really grateful for this group of people. My family is my greatest support system. I'm so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing individuals. I know that no matter what they will always be there for me.

I am so grateful for this lady. She is so amazing. My mom is such a great example of perseverance and patience. She lets me still be the baby of the family when I need to and always lends a listening ear. She loves her kids and grandkids endlessly. She teaches me to have faith and trust in the Lord, especially when times are rough. She helps me realize that with the Lord on my side I can make it through anything.

This talk is so dear to me. I feel like it was heaven sent, just for me. I am so grateful that Elder Uchtdorf was inspired to share these words. I am so grateful that it was turned into a beautiful book. What a great way to remember these wonderful words. I think that some extra books for gift giving are in order.
