Can you believe it!? Throughout the whole pregnancy I have suspected this one would be a boy. I even had a dream that was very vivid about it, though I considered it could have been just a dream. A few weeks before we found out that there was a little man inside I began considering that it was a girl. I talked myself into it completely too, after a while. It seemed like it was just time for more girls to enter the family. On my side we will have 16 grand kids, only 4 of them are girls. We have A LOT of boys. On Steve's side, there will be 4 boys and 2 girls by the end of the year. Crazy.
Anyway, I was pretty shocked when we went in for the ultra sound, and almost immediately baby boy made it clear that he was indeed a boy, not a girl. The doctor went over all the medical stuff of the ultra sound before telling us the gender. Once he told us, he said that baby boy couldn't help flashing us the whole time through. Silly boy. He wanted to make sure I knew without a doubt that he was a boy and to stop thinking and referring to him other wise.
I am so ecstatic. Jared is so ecstatic. Steve is so ecstatic. I feel so very very blessed to be trusted with not one beautiful little boy, but two! I've been getting all kinds of gooey and sentimental about anything boy. I went to a baptism on Saturday and wept at the sight of all these priesthood holders surrounding this sweet little eight year old boy. I was looking at the boy, thinking that my boys will be going through this amazing experience in several years to come, and they will be so blessed to have so many wonderful priesthood examples to guide them and be there for them. Also, one day they will be those men standing in a circle, blessing some one else's life. I'm so lucky.
Little boys are amazing.
Jared is excited for a brother. He really wants a sister too, but I think it will be so much fun for him to have a little brother. When we run names past him, he usually disagrees with all of them {I'll go over it in more detail in another post about names}. He thinks that "Tony Stark Iron Man Baby Nelson" and "Rhodey War Machine" sound pretty good for baby. Whatever his name ends up being, we can't wait to meet you, sweet little boy. We love you SO much!

Congrats darling! That is so exciting!
I think Tony Stark would be PERFECT! I was gonna guess he would rather have the hulk :)
So excited for you! I wanted it to be a girl, but two boys in a row is going to be so fun!
