So in a few weeks we get to find out what we are going to have. Currently we are in a one bedroom apartment, but the plan is to move in October to a three bedroom! Hurray! I can hardly wait to have the extra space. I've already started dreaming up Jared's room and possibly baby boy. If it is a boy, it's easy. I know exactly what I want for the space. Jared and baby will share a room {after baby has probably spent at least several months in the bassinet in our room}. Oh how much fun it will be to put together a fun, imaginative space for two little boys. I want it to be somewhat sophisticated with little boy charm. I want lots of fun accessories and art to make the room playful, while keeping the case goods and furniture a little more grounded, something they can grow up with.
If it's a little girl, oh I have dreams for her room, and they are grand {as grand as they can be on a new teacher salary!}. The hard part is, I REALLY want the third bedroom for my work space, crafts, sewing, designing, etc. It would be SO nice to have a space that isn't our kitchen table, cluttering things in our main space on a frequent basis. It would also be nice to close a door and keep little fingers out of my stuff. BUT, if it's a girl, then I really want to do girly girl things. I could make the kids room gender neutral and do something fun, but it would be way more fun to go full out girly for the girl and let her have her own room, and go full out boy in Jared's room. This means no work space of my own though, sigh. Choices, choices.
I realize that I still have time to think and worry over these things, three weeks to find out what baby will be and a couple months after that to figure out the spaces. This is just how I work though. I can't help but start to dream these spaces up, even though I don't know where and exactly what they will be like.
SO... I thought I would share some of my ideas and things on my wish list for both spaces with you. Just for fun!

Furniture

Love this unique storage. The combo of the crisp white with the rustic wood is too awesome.
I'd love a really great desk that could grow with the boys. I'm obsessed with this desk, though we could never afford it.

{not sure where this image came from, sorry}
I'd love to make a crisp headboard for Jared's grown up bed, then play it up with fun bedding and pillows.

We already have a crib that we used for Jared. I put ALOT of work into refinishing it into a brown with a dark glaze on top of it. I don't know if it would be my first choice now, but I am definitely not putting the work into redoing it again. Plus it's a really old hand-me-down, which I don't think deserves that much love. I think it will work just great though in the boys' space.

That is a tough one to make. I fretted my boy and girl sharing a room, but now I wouldn't have it any other way. I am not that good at decorating like you though. So I never even got to putting up Dani's girly things that I put all that time into making. Now I want to change it all and do something completely different.
I will be honest, I am routing for you to have a girl. Purely for selfish reasons, so when we have playdates our boys and girls can play. I am tired of Dani only have boys to play with. She walks around pretending to be a super hero with her brother, but then two seconds later will be hugging and playing with her doll.
Can't wait, and I love all your plans, and where is the 3 bedroom place going to be?!!
