Book Page Wreath- A new version

I know the book page wreaths have been around a while, but my love for them still continues. I wanted to create a version that didn't use hot glue and had a slightly different look. I was hoping to make one that looked more like paper blossoms pictured below, but it didn't quite turn out that way. I still think it's cute though. So if you would like to make a cheap wreath that doesn't require burning your fingers a zillion times, then this tutorial is for you.

{Paper Blossoms}

Here's what you will need:

:: an old book or dictionary to cut pages from

:: scissors- regular and decorative
{I used two different pairs of decorative scissors to add different textures, but one is just fine.}

:: a wreath form
{I used a vine wreath that I got at dollar store! It was great to work with because it was thin and easy to wrap the wire around.}

:: floral wire

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

STEP ONE:
Remove pages out of book using scissors or an exacto knife. Then cut your paper in quarters or in thirds, depending on the size of the petals you want. I cut a good stack and as needed, cut more.

STEP TWO:
With decorative scissors cut each end of your paper strip to a round, almost half circle.

STEP THREE:
Pinch your paper strip together in the center. For each blossom you will need 5-6 strips that are pinched in the middle.

STEP FOUR:
Take your 5-6 pinched strips and stack them together.
{I did each of mine a little different. Some were stacked on top of each other, some next to each other. Just play with it and have fun}

STEP FIVE:
Take a piece of wire about 6" long and wrap around your paper strips, making sure it secures all of them and twist to stay in place.

STEP SIX:
Wrap your lovely little paper blossom around your wreath, and twist it tightly so it is nice and secure.

Continue to twist your blossoms on your wreath until you reach your desired fullness.

You will eventually end up with something that similar to this:

*Paper goodness*
